Have you had a camera for a while but are ready to take your photos to the next level? Do you want to take better photos of your kids—photos you can cherish for a lifetime? Do you love to travel and want to capture the beauty of the cities, mountains, or beaches you explore? Are you tired of taking photos that are dark, blurry, or just don’t pop? Have you been searching for a beginner’s photography class you can take online?
If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, it’s time to learn how to take full control of your camera by attending my introductory photography class!
Take full control of your camera with my online photography class.
In my beginner’s photography class, you will learn how to shoot in manual mode, which will allow you to take full control of your DSLR camera. You will understand the exposure triangle and how to properly expose for your subject.
You will no longer be confused about shutter speed, aperture, ISO, f-stop, depth of field, and white balance, and you will learn how to achieve that beautiful bokeh look, where the background is blurred while your subject is in sharp focus.
I won’t just tell you what to do; I will show you and make sure you know how to get it right.
Understand composition and light.
Do you wish your photos had more pop to them? Do you feel like there is something lacking in your pictures?
Understanding how to properly compose photographs and how light interplays with your subject and composition is critical to beautiful photos.
In my introductory photography class, I will teach you to understand how light affects your subject and how you can use the light and shadows to your advantage. I will also teach you how to compose your photos to make pop!
Easily shoot different types of photography.
Do you wish you could photograph your kids playing sports without the pictures coming out blurry? Or maybe you just have a toddler who doesn’t like to sit still long enough for you to get a clear photo. Learn how to adjust your camera settings to capture all the action!
Ever see a stunning sunset, magnificent mountains, amazing architecture, or wow-inducing wildlife and wished you could capture that beauty with your camera? My class will teach you the techniques and camera settings you will need to photograph all different types of photography.
Get hands-on experience.
You won’t just sit and listen; you will actually get out your camera and practice what you have learned! With the optional guided photo shoot, you will have a dedicated time to practice some shots while I give you instant feedback. Can’t make the guided photo shoot? No worries! I’ll give you a photo assignment to complete at home. After your practice shoot, you will meet with me via Zoom one-on-one for up to an hour of personalized mentoring.
Learn the basics of digital photo editing.
Taking photos is just half the process. In this photography class, you will also learn basic photo editing. Learn how to edit for proper exposure and white balance, as well as how to salvage photographs that seem ruined.
Learn from a pro with nearly a decade of experience.
